A comparison of two poems
Both the poems I will compare these are known as ‘Symptoms' and ‘the Nymphs reply to the shepherd'. Symptoms is about love but employing body symptoms to write the poem " although you could have given us a stomach ache” this quote is saying you could have given us a stomach discomfort but we still appreciate you and then the poem reply to the shepherd by talking regarding love yet using points that the shepherd would understand " thy belt of straw and ivy bud” I think this quotation is usually talking about the fact that belt of straw and ivy bud and that's something which the shepherd would understand.
The first poem is Symptoms, the subject because is it saying although you may have put myself through almost all his discomfort I nonetheless love you want in this quotation " even though you have given me a flaming temper. ” The end distinctive line of all the stanzas is " life is a lot better than before” so it will be about someone saying they will still take pleasure in someone though they are a pain in the ass. The language the writer is using in symptoms includes stabreim " self-centered streak, ” it has rhyme " panic, manic. ” And it has rhythm with how you examine it also it's a modern poem. Chinese features with this in the nymphs reply to the shepherd include alliteration " my...
